Principals

R. Mark Pitzer

Mr. Pitzer has been in the real estate industry in the Dallas area for over 28 years. As a principal of Windsor Management, he acquired over $150M in real estate assets consisting of land, mini-warehouse, apartments and office buildings. Mr. Pitzer operated a portfolio of over 4,000 apartments and 1M square feet of office property in the Dallas Ft. Worth area until all of the properties were sold in 2007. Mr. Pitzer brings both an expansive real estate knowledge of different product types as well as an owner's perspective for operations.

David Rockaway

David Rockaway is a senior real estate professional with 27 years experience in evaluating, acquiring managing and restructuring; individual assets, pools of real estate, and real estate debt portfolios. As President of FixFunding and a partner at Heartland Capital Group, he closed over $40M in private money loans. David spent the early 90's with First Gibraltar Bank managing due diligence for $600M in participation loans as part of the $15b First Nationwide acquisition in addition to serving on executive committee for management of a $200M plus pool of loan and REO assets from several Phoenix-based savings and loans.

Michael Slaughter


Michael joined New Providence Capital in 2009.  His responsibilities include identifying and underwriting new investment opportunities, fundraising, asset management, and executing the business plan on newly acquired assets.

 

Prior to joining NPC, Mr. Slaughter was a Director and founding partner at INCAP Financial Group, Ltd. a Real Estate Private Equity Fund focusing on urban development.  While at INCAP, Mr. Slaughter helped grow the company from three original partners to thirty employees, five Private Equity Funds, and over $200 million in total assets.  Mr. Slaughter was a member of the Executive Committee and Investment Committee, and was in charge of day to day management of all operating partner relationships, as well as sourcing, structuring, and financing all vertical construction projects.

 

Mr. Slaughter is a native of Dallas, where he lives with his wife and two children.  Mr. Slaughter earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from The Colorado College in 1996 and a Masters of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University in 2003, graduating with Honors.
